Seattle Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett stood for the national anthem for the first time this season Sunday after sitting on the bench through "The Star-Spangled Banner" since the beginning of the preseason.

The entire Seahawks team stood for the anthem at L.A. Coliseum, with defensive linemen locking arms.

Bennett has been one of the faces of the NFL's player protests, appearing on CNN to defend his stance and recently stating "there's never a wrong time to do the right thing" in regards to sitting out the anthem.

The Seahawks defender ramped up his established involvement in social advocacy after alleging he was unnecessarily detained by Las Vegas police in August.
