Mike Zimmer remains optimistic Sam Bradford will see the field on Monday night.

The Minnesota Vikings head coach "anticipates" the signal-caller will be under center when the team takes on the divisional rival Chicago Bears, according to Courtney Cronin of ESPN.

Bradford hasn't seen a snap since suffering a knee injury in the Vikings' season opener, but gave the Minnesota faithful cause for optimism when he returned to practice earlier this week. Case Keenum has run the offense in his stead.

Minnesota heads to the Windy City with an even record of 2-2, while the Bears have lost all but one of four games thus far. Meanwhile, Bradford's counterpart and Chicago's top pick in this year's draft, Mitchell Trubisky, will make his first career start on Monday.
