Panthers' Kuechly taken to locker room to be evaluated for concussion
Carolina Panthers linebacker Luke Kuechly was taken to the locker room during the second quarter of Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles to be evaluated for a concussion.
Kuechly walked off the field under his own power, then jogged to the locker room shortly thereafter. He suffered the injury after crashing violently into the arm of Eagles guard Brandon Brooks.
The 26-year-old has been named to the Pro Bowl in four consecutive seasons, and if he's out for any time whatsoever, it'd be a devastating loss for the Panthers' defense.
Kuechly recorded four tackles and a quarterback hit prior to leaving the game.
Kuechly has missed nine games over the past two seasons due to concussions, ruled out of six contests in 2016, while skipping three games in 2015.
