Giants to be without top remaining wideout Shepard vs. Broncos
The New York Giants' injury-hit wide receiver corps suffered another blow Friday, as Sterling Shepard was ruled out of Sunday's game against the Denver Broncos due to an ankle injury.
The Giants have already lost Odell Beckham Jr. and Brandon Marshall for the season, meaning Eli Manning will have to face the Broncos' dominant secondary without his top three targets.
Roger Lewis and rookie tight end Evan Engram should see the majority of the Giants' targets in Shepard's absence.
New York's injury woes don't end there. Defensive end Olivier Vernon (ankle), linebacker Jonathan Casillas (neck), and running back Paul Perkins (ribs) were all ruled out, too.
