Panthers fan charged with simple assault after sucker-punch goes viral
A Carolina Panthers fan who was caught on video sucker-punching an older fan during Thursday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles has been charged with simple assault.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department identified Kyle Adam Maraghy as the aggressor and tweeted that he was being taken to Mecklenburg County Jail on Friday.

Maraghy, wearing a Cam Newton jersey, punched another man in the face several times, causing the victim to bleed from the left cheek.
The Panthers released a statement Friday, stating that they'd work with police to "pursue charges to the fullest extent of the law."
