Jets first-round safety Jamal Adams has been as good as advertised through the first five weeks of the season, with his physical style helping propel New York to a shocking 3-2 start.

However, the rookie faces the toughest test of his young career in Week 6, with the New England Patriots and Rob Gronkowski coming to town.

"It'll be the opportunity of a lifetime," Adams said, according to Roger Rubin of the New York Post, referring to the star tight end as a "future Hall of Famer."

Adams added, "He's going to stretch the field because he can run all the routes. We definitely got to get after him."

Gronkowski sat out Week 5 due to a thigh injury, but he's set to return for the mouth-watering matchup against Adams and fellow rookie safety Marcus Maye.

"You've got one of the best tight ends in the game that you're going up against," Maye said. "He does it all. ... He's big and physical. He has a great catch radius."

Gronkowski has been his usual dominant self when on the field, catching 318 yards and two touchdowns through the first four weeks of the season.

Likewise, Tom Brady has been in spectacular form. For Maye, it's important he and Adams don't get intimated by the prospect of facing two legends of the sport.

"It has to be just another game," said Maye. "It just happens to be against Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski. You have to be ready for it."
