Seamonkey send mail doesn't work after update to 2.49.1
by slacksam from LinuxQuestions.org on (#3610K)
Hi,
on my Slackware64 14.2 system, I updated SeaMonkey from the Slackware repos from version 2.48.1 to 2.49.1 and now the send mail function doesn't work.
When I "Compose" a new mail and click on the "Send" button, the "HTML Question" popup window appears, then I click "Send", it disappears, but nothing else happens and the "Compose" windows does not close. The mail isn't being sent.
When I click the "Save" button, a new draft is beeing created, but the "Compose" window doesn't close. And if I close it manually, it asks me whether to save the Mail, even if there's no change after pressing "Save".
When I open the draft for editing it, the "To:" field and the message content are wiped.
I also tested it in a new profile and deactivated all AddOns, but no luck.
An Code:ldd `which seamonkey` shows Code: linux-vdso.so.1 (0x00007ffdf7c3f000)
libpthread.so.0 => /lib64/libpthread.so.0 (0x00007fbf8df4a000)
libdl.so.2 => /lib64/libdl.so.2 (0x00007fbf8dd46000)
libstdc++.so.6 => /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6 (0x00007fbf8d9cc000)
libm.so.6 => /lib64/libm.so.6 (0x00007fbf8d6c3000)
libgcc_s.so.1 => /usr/lib64/libgcc_s.so.1 (0x00007fbf8d4ac000)
libc.so.6 => /lib64/libc.so.6 (0x00007fbf8d0e3000)
/lib64/ld-linux-x86-64.so.2 (0x00007fbf8e167000)When I start SeaMonkey from a terminal window, there are no error messages appearing.
What can I do to make it work?
(For now I've not updated SeaMonkey on my productive system.)
