The San Francisco 49ers have endured a fruitless season thus far, and it didn't get any better when offensive tackle Joe Staley suffered a fractured orbital bone Sunday against the Philadelphia Eagles, according to Adam Schefter of ESPN.
The injury is not believed to be season-ending, and Staley reportedly expects to play again this season, according to Schefter.
Staley, a former first-round pick by the 49ers in 2007, has appeared in 143 games in his career and played his way onto five consecutive Pro Bowl teams from 2011-15.
