NFL players have requested a formal mediation session with the league over the protesting of social issues during the national anthem, and Colin Kaepernick will be in attendance should that meeting take place.

The league has yet to agree to the mediation session, but sources told Adam Schefter of ESPN that the players have requested it take place during the week of Nov. 13.

Informal gatherings between the players and the league have not resulted in any solution being reached, with the players wishing to take the next step with formal mediation.

It isn't just social justice and civil rights issues on the players' agenda, as the inability of Kaepernick to secure NFL employment would also be discussed.
