Ezekiel Elliott is set to begin serving a six-game suspension on Sunday, and it's something Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones continues to speak out against.

Elliott's motion for an injunction on his suspension was denied Thursday, forcing the sophomore running back to the sidelines for what the NFL deemed a violation of its personal conduct policy.

"I'm disappointed when he's not going to play. But it is what it is. ... I really fervently disagree that we shouldn't have him on the playing field," Jones said on 105.3 The Fan on Friday morning, according to Cowboys senior writer Rob Phillips.

Jones has publicly supported Elliott throughout the legal back-and-forth.

Elliott will continue to appeal the suspension, with a hearing scheduled for Dec. 1.
