Martellus Bennett may not be with the Green Bay Packers anymore but the business between the tight end and the club appears far from over.

Sources told Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network that the Packers intend to go after Bennett's signing bonus after he criticized the club and team doctor Pat McKenzie on Instagram.

Bennett alleged that McKenzie pushed him to play with a torn rotator cuff, despite recommendations from several doctors to have surgery.

It's unclear whether the Packers will seek repayment of Bennett's entire $6.3-million signing bonus or the $4.2-million prorated portion of his contract. NFL rules state that a club can seek repayment of a signing bonus if they didn't know about a player's pre-existing condition when signing.

The Packers allege that Bennett had the torn rotator cuff prior to joining the team and did not divulge that at the time of signing.

Bennett has since rejoined the New England Patriots and could play Sunday night against the Denver Broncos.
