Giants' Apple inactive vs. Chiefs as mother recovers from brain surgery
by from on (#38DQ8)
The New York Giants will be without the services of cornerback Eli Apple when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
No reason was given for Apple's absence, but he was excused from practice this week because his mother was undergoing brain surgery Thursday, according to Art Stapleton of The Record.
