Chiefs end Darrelle Revis' unemployment streak
The Kansas City Chiefs have signed free-agent cornerback Darrelle Revis, the club announced Wednesday. The deal is a two-year contract that will pay Revis the veteran minimum for 2017 with no guaranteed money in 2018, a source told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Revis was released by the New York Jets in March, amidst accusations he assaulted a man in Pittsburgh. Revis won't have to wait long to get a shot at his old team as the Chiefs face the Jets in Week 13.
The 32-year-old defensive back joins a Chiefs secondary that has been lacking leadership since Eric Berry was injured in Week 1 and ranks 28th in pass defense. Revis rejoins Chiefs defensive coordinator Bob Sutton, who coached him with the Jets from 2007-12.
"Darrelle is a proven player in this league and we are excited to add him to our secondary," Chiefs general manager Brett Veach said. "He's had a Hall of Fame career and his leadership and playing experience will be valuable to our defense."
The Chiefs have made attempts to sign Revis throughout the season, but the veteran was unwilling to take the deal until now, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.
Revis has said he's open to switch from cornerback to safety in the past, but the team has yet to comment on what position he will play.
