Players of the Week: Wilson grabs NFC honor after toppling Eagles
New York Jets quarterback Josh McCown was named AFC Offensive Player of the Week for his three-touchdown performance in a 38-31 shootout win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Two of McCown's touchdown came on the ground, and the 38-year-old showed off his veteran poise by completing over 72 percent of his passes.
Baltimore Ravens safety Eric Weddle's stuffed stat sheet earned him AFC Defensive Player of the Week accolades. The veteran took an interception back 45 yards for a touchdown, forced a fumble, and recorded a sack in a dominating performance against the Detroit Lions.
Pittsburgh Steelers kicker Chris Boswell hit all three of his field goals, including the game-winner to help erase a 14-point deficit to the Cincinnati Bengals, to win the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week award.
NFCRussell Wilson's masterful play during the Seattle Seahawks' win over the Philadelphia Eagles earned him the NFC Offensive Player of the Week award for Week 13. The star quarterback threw for three touchdowns while spending most of the game running for his life. It's the seventh Player of the Week award for Wilson, tied for the most in franchise history with Shaun Alexander.
Green Bay Packers defensive end Dean Lowry burst onto the scene in Week 13 with a 62-yard fumble recovery touchdown - the first score of his career. The second-year pass-rusher also added a sack for good measure.
San Francisco 49ers kicker Robbie Gould was flawless in a revenge game against his former team, the Chicago Bears, making all five of his field-goal attempts. Gould single-handedly won the game for the 49ers, scoring all 15 points in the 15-14 win.
