Kansas City Chiefs cornerback Marcus Peters has been fined $24,309 for throwing an official's flag into the stands after a penalty was called on his team in the fourth quarter of last Sunday's loss to the New York Jets, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

Peters has also been suspended one game by his team following the incident. He will miss Sunday's clash with the Oakland Raiders.

The third-year pro has made 41 tackles, five pass deflections, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles through 12 games this season.
