Texans won't know Hopkins' status until game time
Houston Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins didn't practice Thursday due to a calf injury and isn't expected to play in Week 17, according to Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle.
Head coach Bill O'Brien later said the receiver's status for Sunday's regular-season finale against the Indianapolis Colts "probably" won't be known until game time.
Should he ultimately be ruled out, Hopkins would miss the first game of his career. He's played all 79 regular-season fixtures since entering the league as the Texans' first-round pick in the 2013 draft.
Hopkins, who was selected to the Pro Bowl for the second time in three seasons, has caught 96 of 174 targets on the year for 1,378 yards and a league-leading 13 touchdowns.
