Bills' McCoy ruled out vs. Dolphins with reported ankle sprain
Buffalo Bills running back LeSean McCoy was carted to the locker room during Sunday's game against the Miami Dolphins with an ankle injury.
The Bills reportedly believe McCoy suffered a sprained ankle after X-rays came back negative, a source told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.
McCoy was ruled out of the game, however, after initially being deemed questionable.
The six-time Pro Bowler rushed for 10 yards on 11 carries before exiting, adding two receptions for 22 yards.
Marcus Murphy and Mike Tolbert will likely see increased carries in McCoy's absence.
With the Bills vying for a spot in the playoffs, it would be a devastating loss for the team if McCoy missed any time. If Buffalo wins and the Baltimore Ravens lose, or Buffalo wins and both the Los Angeles Chargers and Tennessee Titans lose, the Bills would punch their first playoff ticket of the 21st century.
