Report: Colts request interview with Seahawks DC Richard for HC position
The Indianapolis Colts have requested an interview with Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Kris Richard for their head coaching position, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
Richard is among several candidates the Colts are interested in, including New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels, Houston Texans defensive coordinator Mike Vrabel, Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Steve Wilks, Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Matt Nagy, and Chiefs special teams coordinator Dave Toub.
The 38-year-old has been Seattle's defensive coordinator since 2015, replacing Dan Quinn after he was hired as the head coach of the Atlanta Falcons. Richard previously worked as the team's defensive backs coach and played in the NFL from 2002-06, most notably with the Seahawks from 2002-04.
