Report: Colts, Giants, Bears to interview Patriots OC McDaniels
The Indianapolis Colts will interview New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels for their head coaching position Thursday, a source told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.
The Chicago Bears and New York Giants were also granted permission to interview McDaniels, who will meet with both teams on Friday, sources told Michael Girardi NBC Sports Boston.
McDaniels has served as the Patriots offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach since 2012 - previously working with the team from 2001-08 - and has won five Super Bowls with the team, ascending through the ranks after beginning as a personnel assistant.
The 41-year-old has previous head coaching experience with the Denver Broncos, compiling an 11-17 record from 2009-10.
