After twice being the betting underdog while hosting playoff games, the Philadelphia Eagles opened as the longer shot to win Super Bowl LII over the New England Patriots at the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas, according to ESPN's David Purdum.

At -5.5, the Eagles are the largest underdogs since 2009, when the Pittsburgh Steelers opened as seven-point favorites over the Arizona Cardinals.

This is the Eagles' first trip to the Super Bowl since 2004, when they lost to the Patriots, while New England is heading into the big game for the third time in four years.
