Ravens' Humphrey arrested on 3rd-degree robbery charge
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey was arrested Thursday in Tuscaloosa, Ala., and charged with third-degree robbery, according to Michael Casagrande of AL.com, who cites the county sheriff's booking information.
According to the incident report, which was obtained by Stephanie Taylor of the Tuscaloosa News, Humphrey requested a cable to charge his phone while getting a ride to a hotel from an Uber driver on Jan. 13. Humphrey allegedly took the charging cable and several other cables with him when he left the vehicle, elbowing the driver in the side and behaving as if he wanted to fight.
The incident report values the charger at $15.

Humphrey was booked in Tuscaloosa County Jail on $2,500 bond, according to jail records. Despite being listed as a third-degree robbery in booking information, the incident report lists the offense as theft of property in the fourth degree - a class A misdemeanor.
According to Alabama state law, third-degree robbery is a class C felony, and occurs when someone "uses force against the person of the owner of the property or any person present with intent to overcome that person's physical resistance or physical power of resistance" or "threatens the imminent use of force against the person of the owner of the property or any person present with intent to compel acquiescence to the taking of or escaping with the property."
Humphrey, an Alabama product, just completed his rookie season in the NFL.
