Former NFL wide receiver Terrell Owens announced Saturday he'll be part of the 2018 Pro Football Hall of Fame class, which is set to be formally announced later in the night at NFL Honors.

Owens was controversially snubbed the last two years but will apparently enter Canton on his third attempt.

CONGRATS to the HOF CLASS OF 2018. We're GOLDEN!

The 44-year-old was perceived to be an abrasive personality who quickly wore out his welcome on multiple teams and was often described as a locker-room cancer, which is believed to be the reason why Hall of Fame voters left him out on his first and second ballots.

While Owens' character is questioned by some, it's impossible to dismiss his outstanding production over 16 NFL seasons. He sits second in all-time receiving yards and third in all-time touchdown catches.
