Football fans everywhere have been blessed with some incredible Super Bowls in recent years, and through 30 minutes of this year's event, it looks like that will continue to be the case.

After trading opening field goals, Sunday's game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots erupted in to a highlight-filled football extravaganza.

Here's the four craziest plays from the opening two quarters in Minnesota.

Bomb to Alshon

What a throw.

Prior to the NFC Championship Game, Nick Foles was 0-for-10 on throws of at least 20 yards downfield. Since kickoff against the Vikings, Foles is now 5 of 7 for 206 yards and three scores, none bigger than the game's opening touchdown to Alshon Jeffery. The lanky receiver skied above the Patriots defense for an incredible 34-yard grab to stake the NFC champs to a 9-3 lead.

Brady shows he's actually a 40-year-old man

The @Patriots get tricky...

Tom Brady is the oldest position player in the NFL, but rarely looks like a 40-year-old at the quarterback spot. The same can't be said when he's running a pass pattern, as the MVP showed his age with this attempted catch in the second quarter. Danny Amendola lofted a pass to a wide open Brady, who had miles of daylight awaiting should he secure the catch. Unfortunately for the Patriots he did not, and the drive stalled in Eagles territory.

Tip drill shifts momentum

One of the craziest picks you'll ever see...

With the Eagles driving up 15-6 in the second quarter, Foles aired out a deep ball to Jeffrey inside the Patriots five-yard line. Jeffrey made a great attempt for an acrobatic catch but ended up tipping the ball in to the air, perfectly setting up Duron Harmon for an easy interception. It was Foles' first pick of the playoffs.

Doug Pederson ain't scared

YUP. Nick Foles is catching TD passes.

In the @superbowl.

Those thinking Doug Pederson might be a tad nervous in his first Super Bowl were proved wrong in a massive way shortly before halftime. The second-year head coach opted for one of the wildest play calls in Super Bowl history to push the Eagles lead to 22-12 before half. Pederson called for a direct snap to running back Corey Clement, who pitched to tight end Trey Burton in the backfield. Burton would then find a wide-open Foles in the end zone for the touchdown.
