The speculation surrounding Andrew Luck's injured shoulder has kept thousands of fans on edge for much of the last year, but the quarterback did his part Tuesday to ease the collective minds of the Indianapolis Colts faithful moving forward.

The 28-year-old dispelled any rumors regarding another possible surgery on his throwing shoulder, insisting during an interview with Peter King of Sports Illustrated that going under the knife for a second time is no longer on the table.

"That is not an option for me right now. I feel very, very good about where I am," Luck said. "That ship has sailed in my mind, which is also a bit of a relief, I'm not going to lie."

Luck was forced to miss the entire 2017 season after suffering a setback to his surgically repaired shoulder in October, so to hear him speak so confidently about avoiding further surgery is a good sign for the franchise and its fan base.
