Alshon Jeffery's Super Bowl run in Philadelphia just became more impressive.

The Eagles wide receiver underwent successful surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder Wednesday, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Offseason surgeries are common, but Jeffery's case is notable because he suffered the injury in training camp and didn't miss a game during the entire 2017-18 season.

Playing through the pain, the wideout finished with 57 catches, 789 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns during the regular season. He was especially effective in the playoffs, meshing well with Nick Foles and hauling in 12 receptions and three touchdowns over three starts - capped by a 34-yard score in Super Bowl LII.

Jeffery signed a one-year contract with the Eagles last March and was rewarded with a four-year, $52-million extension in December. He may start training camp on the active/PUP list but should be ready for Week 1.
