Atlanta Falcons general manager Thomas Dimitroff told reporters at the combine on Wednesday that the team will be picking up defensive end Vic Beasley Jr.'s fifth-year option, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of AJC.com.

The edge rusher led the league with 15.5 sacks in 2016, making the Pro Bowl and being named First-Team All-Pro in just his sophomore season. He regressed to five sacks in 14 games - but just 8 starts - in 2017 while battling a hamstring injury and spending more time at outside linebacker.

Falcons head coach Dan Quinn has already said Beasley will be moving back to defensive end on a full-time basis in 2018.
