Russell Wilson could soon get the opportunity to achieve one of his childhood dreams.

The Seattle Seahawks quarterback hinted Friday that he might receive an at-bat in a live spring training game with the New York Yankees.

"It looks like I'm going to get a chance to get an at-bat, potentially," Wilson told reporters, according to Bryan Hoch of MLB.com. "You guys are going to have to pay attention."

Wilson is not in the Yankees' starting lineup for Friday's game against the Atlanta Braves, but is on the list of available position players, Brendan Kuty of NJ.com reports.

Yankees general manager Brian Cashman has been supportive of Wilson appearing in a game, but said he would need to speak with Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll in order to receive clearance. Carroll said he believes Wilson being in camp is an "awesome" experience, but opted not to give a straight answer when asked about the possibility of Wilson playing in a game.

"He's not doing a great job of going with pitches away from him," Carroll said Thursday. "We are hoping he will start putting the ball into right field a little bit more, you know. We want him to go with the pitch. Aside from that, the curveball is still giving him a problem, like it always did, you know, back in the day. So we will see what happens."

Wilson arrived in camp earlier this week and has spent most of his time mingling with players. He did partake in some fielding drills and batting practice with Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, and Giancarlo Stanton.
