Top pass-rush prospect Chubb trying to combine Mack, Miller 'into 1 person'
Bradley Chubb is setting his expectations high.
The highly touted pass-rusher out of N.C. State has his sights set on becoming the best player at his position, based on how he characterizes his game.
"I try to take Khalil Mack and Von Miller and put them into one person," Chubb said Saturday when asked who he molds his game after, according to NFL.com's Nick Shook. "Khalil Mack's the more powerful guy, probably the best long arm in the game right now. Von Miller's the speed, finesse guy. Just try to put both of those together, have some power moves, have some speed moves that I go to.
"I feel like I do both of them pretty well ... There's still a lot of room for improvement, of course."
Chubb, the 2017 Bronko Nagurski Trophy winner for NCAA defensive player of the year, has been graded the best edge rusher by most draft analysts after racking up 10 sacks in each of his last two collegiate seasons. He doesn't just see himself as the best pass-rusher in the draft; he believes he's the top prospect overall.
"I feel like I put it on tape in four years. Just putting on tape good film, and I feel like I'm the best player," said Chubb, according to Charean Williams of Pro Football Talk. "I'm not going to say one player is better than me. Saquon Barkley put up ridiculous numbers in the past couple of days. Josh Allen, Josh Rosen, just all the quarterbacks you're hearing about. A lot of great players.
"I just feel like I'm up there at the top."
