Report: Police searching for Aldon Smith after domestic violence incident

The San Francisco Police Department are searching for suspended Oakland Raiders linebacker Aldon Smith after a domestic violence incident Saturday, Scott Bair of NBC Sports reports.

Police responded to a call where they found the victim with non-life threatening injuries. Smith wasn't at the scene when police arrived but was identified as the aggressor.

The linebacker is currently suspended for repeated violations of the NFL's substance abuse program but remains on the Raiders roster.

Smith has faced several legal issues since entering the league. The 28-year-old asked a judge in February to reduce his child support payments, arguing that he hasn't received an income since November 2015.

Smith will need to be reinstated by the NFL before he can play for the Raiders again.
