Sir John Sulston, pioneering genome scientist, dies aged 75

Sulston won the Nobel prize for medicine in 2002 for his work on genome sequencing
The pioneering geneticist Sir John Sulston has died, it has been confirmed.
The scientist led the UK side of the landmark Human Genome Project and founded and directed the Wellcome Sanger Institute near Cambridge, one of the country's leading biomedical institutions.
