The Chicago Bears are expected to sign tight end Trey Burton to a four-year, $32-million contract, sources told NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport.

The versatile pass-catcher is perhaps best known for his role in the "Philly Special" trick play in which he threw a touchdown pass to quarterback Nick Foles in Super Bowl LII.

Burton spent four seasons in Philly and was expected to command a ton of attention in free agency.

The Bears are spending heavily to rebuild their offense around quarterback Mitch Trubisky. Chicago reportedly landed top free-agent receiver Allen Robinson on a three-year, $42-million deal.
