The Cincinnati Bengals and tight end Tyler Eifert have reached an agreement on a one-year deal to keep him in Ohio, a source told Adam Schefter of ESPN.

Eifert's deal is worth a maximum of $8 million, a source told Tom Pelissero of NFL Network.

The 27-year-old made the Pro Bowl in 2015, but has only played in 10 games since due to back, ankle, and knee injuries.

The Bengals' only other legitimate tight end is Tyler Kroft - who had over 400 yards last season - so bringing back Eifert gives Cincinnati a solid tandem and allows the oft-injured pass-catcher to reestablish his value before seeking a longer-term deal.
