Report: Packers' Trevor Davis arrested for bomb joke at airport
Green Bay Packers wide receiver Trevor Davis was arrested Sunday morning for making a bomb joke at Los Angeles International Airport, according to TMZ Sports.
Davis was reportedly at the Hawaiin Airlines ticket counter with a female companion. The two were attempting to check in when the attendant asked them about their luggage.
Davis reportedly turned to his companion and said, "Did you remember to pack the explosives?"
She responded by playing along with, "Yes."
Police were called and Davis was taken into custody for misdemeanor criminal threats. He was booked, and then released.
The Packers released the following statement:
#Packers statement on Trevor Davis, who was reportedly arrested at LAX for a bomb joke: "(We) are aware of the matter involving Trevor Davis. We are in the process of gathering more information and will refrain from making any further comment as it is an ongoing legal matter."
