Jim Kelly released from hospital after undergoing surgery for oral cancer
Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly was released from hospital Saturday, about two-and-a-half weeks after undergoing surgery to remove oral cancer and reconstruct his jaw.
Kelly had been receiving treatment since being diagnosed with cancer in March. The former Buffalo Bills legend was previously diagnosed with cancer in June 2013 but was declared cancer-free in August 2014.
Kelly's wife, Jill, updated his fans on his prognosis Saturday.

Kelly's surgeon, Dr. Mark Urken, attributed the speed of Kelly's recovery to "his toughness, the firmness of his resolve, his faith, and the support of his family," according to the Buffalo News. "All of those factors will continue to serve him well as he moves on to the next phase of his rehabilitation."
