Capitals' Burakovsky to have minor surgery, out rest of series vs. Jackets
Washington Capitals forward Andre Burakovsky will have minor surgery for an upper-body injury and is out for the remainder of the first-round series against the Columbus Blue Jackets, head coach Barry Trotz told reporters Friday, according to Stephen Whyno of the Associated Press.
Burakovsky played just over two minutes in Game 2 before leaving after he was crunched into the boards by Boone Jenner.
Burakovsky took a hit into the boards from Boone Jenner late in the 1st and is not on the bench for the 2nd.

Burakovsky was expected to take a big leap this year, as the departures of Marcus Johansson and Justin Williams provided an opportunity for a more prominent role, but it didn't materialize. The 23-year-old registered just 12 goals and 25 points in 56 games.
