The Washington Redskins selected wide receiver Trey Quinn out of SMU as the final pick of the 2018 NFL Draft.

Quinn now owns the dubious title of "Mr. Irrelevant" for being the last pick in this year's class.

It's possible he'll shed this label very quickly given he recorded 114 receptions for 1,236 yards and 13 touchdowns during his final season at SMU. He transferred from LSU after spending his first two years at the SEC powerhouse.

Quinn, who earned first-team All-AAC honors, will now have to compete for a spot in the Redskins' wide receiver rotation with the team looking to get back to the playoffs for the first time since 2015.

What the analysts are saying
  • "Quinn has good ball skills and can create small catch windows for himself through route savvy and positioning, but he has athletic limitations that make team fit and quarterback fit a necessity."
    - Lance Zierlein, NFL.com
  • "Quinn does not offer the preferred straight-line speed for the perimeter, with defenders too often closing on him from behind in the open field."
