Jets' Sam Darnold surprises kids at New Jersey pediatric hospital
Sam Darnold is quickly getting acquainted with his new community.
The New York Jets quarterback made a surprise visit to the Goryeb Children's Hospital in New Jersey on Saturday, two days after he was selected third overall in the NFL draft. He spent the afternoon with several young patients, including 14-year-old Raymond Schwartz, who was scheduled to announce the Jets' fourth-round pick before technical difficulties got in the way.

"It's been amazing being here for the kids, and at the same time, seeing the impact they can have on us as players," Darnold said, according to Jane Havsy of the Daily Record. "Nothing on the field is more challenging than what they go through."
