Ontario Cold Case: Death of Jake Surerus remains unsolved

A wooden box contains the ashes of Jake Surerus. It sits on a shelf in the family room next to his childhood teddy bear, a memorial to a young man who suffered much in life. Often homeless, having experienced two brain injuries, Surerus looked for love and acceptance, and instead found himself with the wrong crowd. On May 23, 2013 he was found dead, possibly after being dragged from a vehicle. Despite a $50,000 reward for information, his killers have not been found.
