Rob Gronkowski is reportedly likely to receive a contract extension from the New England Patriots, but with every passing day the deal doesn't get done, the greater the scrutiny surrounding his future in New England.

The star tight end was apparently shopped three days prior to the 2017 NFL Draft, and until he signs on the dotted line with New England, some around the league believe he's still on the trade block.

"Where's the restructure of his contract?" an AFC personnel executive told Boston Sports Journal's Greg A. Bedard. "Until that's done, I think he's still available. I wouldn't be surprised if (head coach Bill) Belichick is going to test Gronk's buy-in with the contract."

Rumors of a rift between Gronkowski and Belichick have surfaced ever since the pass-catcher refused to rule out retirement following the team's Super Bowl loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.

Gronkowski ultimately opted to return after a meeting with Belichick, but it hasn't stopped speculation that he might be moved despite producing a 1,084-yard, eight-touchdown campaign in 2017.
