Cowboys CB Marquez White charged with assault with a deadly weapon
Dallas Cowboys cornerback Marquez White faces a felony count of second-degree aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after pulling out a gun in October during an apparent road-rage incident, according to Tom Steele of The Dallas Morning News.
"Me and my legal team believe strongly that this a personal attack on my image as well as the (Dallas Cowboys') star," White wrote in a statement to the Dothan Eagle.
White also claimed the other driver involved in the incident was following him closely, and later yelled threats and racial slurs after pulling his vehicle up next to him.
The Cowboys selected the former Florida State defensive back in the sixth round of the 2017 draft. He spent his rookie campaign on Dallas' practice squad.
White is currently free on a $7,500 bond.
