The Pro Football Hall of Fame will be moving on with the 2018 induction ceremony without wide receiver Terrell Owens present, both in person and apparently in spirit, too.

Owens announced last month he wouldn't be attending the ceremony in Canton and later said he would be giving his Hall of Fame speech at his alma mater, the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

Therefore, Owens won't be introduced as part of Friday's Gold Jacket ceremony, and he won't be announced at Saturday's induction ceremony, executive director Joe Horrigan said, according to Clark Judge of Talk of Fame Network.

"The focus is on the guys who are here," Horrigan said.

Owens' name will be mentioned only as it pertains to the entirety of the 2018 Class, and his image will be shown with the other members - Ray Lewis, Randy Moss, Brian Urlacher, Brian Dawkins, Bobby Beathard, Jerry Kramer, and Robert Brazile. But that's as far as it'll go, with no solo spotlight.

"There's no reason to bring him up as an individual," said Horrigan. "He's not here."

Owens' gold jacket will be mailed to him Saturday morning.
