The percentage of men told by a health professional that their cholesterol was high who were taking lipid-lowering medications increased from 36% in 2005-2006 to 50% in 2015-2016 among those aged a60 years but not among those aged 20-39 years (1% to 2%) or 40-59 years (16% to 17%).
