James Harrison arrived in Foxboro prepared to hate Tom Brady, but he's now a big fan of the New England Patriots quarterback.

The former Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker, who joined the Patriots for the stretch run of the 2017 season, shared his thoughts on Brady during an appearance on FOX Sports 1's "Undisputed" on Thursday.

"To be honest with you, listen, I wanted to hate this dude," Harrison said. "The whole time I'm playing in Pittsburgh I'm like, 'I hate Brady.' Everyone's like, 'Oh, he's such a great guy, he's such a nice guy.' We got LeGarrette (Blount), he came over and I'm like, 'Man, what's up with Tom Brady?' He's like, 'Aw man, he's a great guy,' I'm like, 'Stop lying to me, no he's not.'"

"So as soon as I get there, who is the first person I see smiling, happy face? I'm like, 'Yeah he's just doing this cause he got to do it, right? Yeah, he's just faking.' So you watch how he move in the locker room, how he communicates with guys, different guys, guys that'd been there forever, guys that are just getting there, and dude, he's a great guy.

"He is the ultimate teammate, person," Harrison added. "There's nothing I can knock him for."

Harrison announced his retirement from the NFL in April after 15 seasons.
