Trump offers his own anthem debate resolution
The NFL is revisiting its policy on protests during the national anthem, and so too is President Donald Trump.
As the debate has returned to the foreground, Trump took to Twitter on Friday afternoon to offer his resolution.
The NFL National Anthem Debate is alive and well again - can't believe it! Isn't it in contract that players must stand at attention, hand on heart? The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand. First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!

"The $40,000,000 Commissioner must now make a stand. First time kneeling, out for game. Second time kneeling, out for season/no pay!" Trump said.
NFLPA president Eric Winston shot back at Trump, saying the league can handle the issue without the president's input.
Thanks for your thoughts, but we'll take it from here. https://t.co/j7TQ4vhcJz

The NFL is working with the NFLPA on an appropriate resolution to the debate that will placate the players, owners, and league.
