Joe Flacco remains the Baltimore Ravens' starting quarterback, but his rookie backup appears to be heating up his seat as training camp gets underway.

Lamar Jackson has impressed his coaches to the point where the Ravens are considering putting two quarterbacks on the field at times this season, which offensive coordinator Marty Mornhinweg attributes to the former Louisville standout's great work ethic.

"He's done an outstanding job up to date," Mornhinweg said Sunday, according to ESPN's Jamison Hensley. "He's way ahead of the curve now."

Jackson slipped to the end of the first round in this year's draft, mostly due to the amount of work it was assumed it would take to turn him into a legitimate NFL passer. However, the 21-year-old has been turning heads with passes like this:

Jackson's presence is the first major threat to Flacco's position since he was drafted in 2008, but after being sidelined in camp last year due to a back injury, he's apparently healthy and up to the challenge from the rookie.

"It looks like he's moving and grooving better than he has in several years," Mornhinweg said of Flacco.
