The Cincinnati Bengals are negotiating a contract extension with defensive end Carlos Dunlap, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Dunlap and his agent, Drew Rosenhaus, were seen speaking to Bengals owner Mike Brown during practice Saturday, Paul Dehner Jr. of the Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

The veteran defensive end is owed $7 million in base salary for the upcoming season and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next spring.

Dunlap recorded 46 tackles, 7.5 sacks, a forced fumble, and an interception in 16 games during the 2017 season.

The 29-year-old was named to the Pro Bowl in 2015 and 2016.
