by Mike Alessandrini from on (#3W00R)
Green Bay Packers linebacker Jake Ryan has reportedly been diagnosed with a torn ACL, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter, and will miss the 2018 season as a result.
Ryan suffered the injury at practice Monday and was carted off the field.
The linebacker was heading into the final year of his rookie contract and was set to start in the heart of the Packers' defense next to Blake Martinez.
Green Bay selected Ryan in the fourth round of the 2015 draft, and he's seen significant snaps as a starter since his rookie campaign.
Ryan had a solid 2017 for the Packers, particularly in run defense. He accumulated 81 total tackles and one sack.
