Report: Jaguars suspend Ramsey 1 preseason game for criticizing local media
The Jacksonville Jaguars suspended star cornerback Jalen Ramsey for one week after critiquing local media outlets for what he believed to be unfair treatment of his teammates, sources told NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.
Ramsey was particularly upset about criticism directed at Jaguars defensive end Dante Fowler, according to Rapoport.
Fowler was also suspended for violating team rules and "conduct unbecoming of a Jaguars football player."
Both players will miss Saturday's preseason game against the Minnesota Vikings, and neither player will travel with the team this week, ESPN's Adam Schefter reports.
Ramsey took issue with Jacksonville.com reporter Phillip Heilman and addressed him on Twitter.

Heilman previously tweeted a video documenting a fight between Fowler and fellow Jaguars defensive lineman Yannick Ngakoue.

Ramsey also sent a number of tweets, generally addressing his disdain for the media's criticism of his teammates.

The 23-year-old has established himself as one of the NFL's premier cornerbacks, as well as one of the league's top trash talkers. He was named a first-team All-Pro and earned Pro Bowl honors in 2017.
