If Tom Brady and Bill Belichick's relationship was truly on the rocks, it appears the animosity has been set aside.

The New England Patriots' star quarterback sung Belichick's praises on Tuesday, calling him the "best coach" to ever stand on an NFL sideline.

"I think our priorities are the same as they have always been. I think that is why we get along so well," said Brady, according to WEEI's Ryan Hannable. "We're here to win and like I said, it has been a very professional environment that he has created.

"I think I am very lucky to be in that environment. I think he is the best coach that has ever coached in the NFL and I feel very privileged to kind of have been mentored by him for as long as I have."

Brady caused a stir in late April by saying he'll "plead the fifth" when asked if he feels appreciated by the Patriots and Belichick.

The 41-year-old's comments came after a season dominated by rumors of a growing divide between Brady, Belichick, and Patriots owner Robert Kraft.

However, the apparent dysfunction didn't slow down the future Hall of Fame quarterback-head coach duo in 2017 or hold them back from leading New England to another Super Bowl appearance.
