Landry's team sought to replace giant LeBron banner in downtown Cleveland
When LeBron James left town, the 10-story banner of himself on the side of the Sherwin-Williams building in downtown Cleveland went, too.
New Cleveland Browns receiver Jarvis Landry offered to replace it.
Landry, brought to Cleveland after an offseason trade, has yet to record a regular-season catch with the Browns, but nonetheless, his manager inquired about putting Landry on a massive banner to take over James' former spot on the building.
"I think that's what he lives for. (The pressure of) 'Man, I'm gonna put, just like LeBron, I'm going to put the city on my back and carry us through.' I think he's up for it," Landry's manager and brother, Gerard, said to ESPN's Elizabeth Merrill.
Gerard said the project is now on the backburner, suggesting they'd "revisit the idea later."
In the meantime, Landry and the Browns will focus on winning a game this season after the team went 0-16 last year.
